Shanta Monna Jordan, known as ‘Tay’, was the daughter of Terry Wayne Peterson and Cornella Ann Jordan Hoosier. God blessed them with her on March 27, 1995 in Kenansville, NC.

On August 12, 2026, at her Aunt’s home in Clinton, NC, Tay took the King’s hand and made her transition to eternal rest.

Shanta was a loving and caring person. She loved to cook, go to the beach, lay in bed and watch T.V., sleep, and go fishing.

Shanta leaves behind her Mother, Cornella Jordan Hoosier; her Father, Terry Wayne Peterson; 4 children: sons, Daniel Lesean Frederick and Jarell Jr. Tyson and daughters, Skylar Faith Jordan and Breonna Monna Jordan; 4 sisters: Keiandria Jordan, Ieasha Jordan, Mieasha Jordan, and Shornella Manley; 13 nieces and nephews; step-father, Jeffery Hooser; and a host of cousins and aunts.
